Studio Dynamics was founded in 1984 by Bob Potier, a graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago.  At that time, there were only a few backdrop painting studios supplying photographers. His artistic sensibilities and photography experience formed a solid foundation for the company. Studio Dynamics supplies backdrops to photographers, videographers, filmakers and imaging professionals throughout the world.

Our staff continues to believe in the merging of art, photography, creativity and fine craftsmanship. Starting with canvas backdrops, then muslin backdrops, our selection of products has grown to include other products that help our customers grow their businesses.  Our backdrops continue to be used by our loyal customers years after they were purchased.  We appreciate being part of their success.
